  • The Symbol of %

The strange symbols mentioned above actually represent our commonly used percentage symbol.

As early as the 15th century, references to percentages appeared in Italian literature. At that time, there was no standardized symbol for percentages, and various methods were used, such as "", "P100," "Pcento," and so on.

It was not until the 17th century that the symbol for percentages evolved into "", which is the widely used "%" symbol today.
